SOLUTION: Meeting requests do not places in Outlook Calendar as Tentative

Applies To: Exchange 2010 Update Roll up 8 V2 for Service Pack 3, Outlook 2010

Problem:
When the user receives a meeting request, if the user does not take any action (that is does not click Accept button etc.) normally the meeting is created in the calendar as tentative. So that user can see the meeting in her/his calendar without accepting. But in our problem the meeting is not created in the calendar as tentative

Resolution:
1- Open the Exchange Management Console find problem user and right click properties
2- Go to Calendar Settings Tab. Here by default “Enabled the Calendar Attendant”, “Remove old meeting requests and responses” and “Mark new meeting requests as Tentative” options are checked.
3- Uncheck Enabled the Calendar Attendant and click OK
4- Go to properties/Calendar Settings and check Enabled the Calendar Attendant option again.

send a test meeting to the user, now the meeting is created in the calendar as tentative. No need to restart Outlook.
